The vision for Nests for Nurture was shaped through years of direct work with children living and working on the streets of Nairobi.
Through rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration efforts, one truth became clear: no child leaves a safe and loving home without reason. Behind every child in crisis was often a struggling family.
What if we strengthened the home before the crisis? What if we healed the nest so the child would not need to flee it?

Nature provides a powerful model for nurturing. Before a mother bird lays her eggs, she builds a nest; safe, secure, and strategically placed. She feeds her young, protects them, monitors their growth, teaches them to fly, and releases them when they are strong enough to thrive independently.
